Bush Spends 90 Minutes with Military Families -
Edited on Fri Aug-25-06 09:04 AM by leftyladyfrommo
Boy is this nauseating. My God. He cried with them. This is awful.

And then he probably wiped off his "sorry face" and went for a ride on his bike.

2. This was just Maine. But one of the mothers did take him to
task and he just blew her off.

I hate this guy.

3. I'm sure we'll hear the truth soon...

Yup...in a few weeks the truth about this meeting will trickle out.

We'll learn how Junior really acted with those military families...how he wore a cowboy
hat to the meeting, cracked jokes--and referred to the mothers and wives as "a damn,
fine bunch of good lookin womens."

Boy...Junior's new team of spinmeisters really is working 24/7 on presenting
this scumbag as a human being. It feels like they've got a PR stunt planned
for every day of the week.

Ok, now. Where are the Democrats and their PR people? Helloooo? Anyone???

The Democrats should be following Junior around, and countering all of this
"shucky-darn-aren't-I-a-friendly-down-home-president" malarkey. Seriously.

Why didn't the Dems meet with Katrina guy? Why weren't they out attacking
Bush's response to Katrina as indefensible? Why aren't they following
Bush around and attacking?

Wake up Dems! A couple more months of being asleep, while Junior and his
handlers convince the American people that the pResident is a likable
fellow--could be disastrous for us in 08. We're not paying you guys
to stand around!

5. Let's make this very clear, he's* not meeting with the families...
he's* meeting with the press for a photo-op showing him* meeting with the families. Big gigantic difference.

The man* hasn't an ounce of empathy in his black soul.

His* hand holding, crocodile tears, the false nods of understanding, then the crappy, callous and uncalled for rude joke to make light of the situation that makes him* grossly uncomfortable due to the fact that he* is forced to show sympathy for other peoples loss and personal tragedies.

He* is no many he's* a heartless killing machine. (to paraphrase Jaws.)

6. Victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack ?
KENNEBUNK -- President Bush held private and at times emotional meetings Thursday with the families of five Maine soldiers who died in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on the Pentagon.

They continue to connect these events!

and here's the clincher for me:

One anti-war widow said she used the opportunity to voice her objections to Bush's policies.

"I said it's time to stop the bleeding," said Hildi Halley, whose husband, Army National Guard Capt. Patrick Damon, died June 15 in Afghanistan. "It's time to swallow our pride and find a solution."

She said Bush responding by saying "there was no point in us having a philosophical discussion about the pros and cons of the war."
