Bush To Iraq Widow: "No Point" Discussing "Pros And Cons Of The War"
Yesterday President Bush met with Hildi Halley, a woman from Maine whose husband is a fallen soldier, and news of their meeting was reported in a local Maine paper, the Kennebec Journal, which said simply that Halley objected to Bush's policies and that she said Bush responded --> that there was no point of them having a "philosophical discussion about the pros and cons of the war."

But Halley went much farther in her criticism of Bush, telling him directly that he was "responsible" for the deaths of American soldiers and that as a "Christian man," he should recognize that he's "made a mistake" and that it was his "responsibility to end this." "As President, you're here to serve the people. And the people are not being served with this war."

1. Is she now on a flight to Egypt or Jordan for some special counseling?
I'm sure that Bush knows some way to convince her of the error of her way of thinking.

3. No time for discussion
Hey, this was just a supposed to be a photo op. Need to show that the chimp cares. How dare this woman muddy it up with an objection?

I guess she wasn't pre-screened enough. Only supporters are allowed into Bush's photo ops. Someone will get called on the carpet for letting this woman in.

7. Ah! Did she ruin his day? I sure hope so. In fact, I hope she ruined
his weekend at his parents' oceanside retreat.

6. At least he's telling the truth...
for a change.

"no point of them having a "philosophical discussion about the pros and cons of the war."

True! His mind was made up before he started the war.

8. Of course we all know Bush is no Christian
no matter what he says, but I respect Mrs. Halley for taking him at his word as one and also for calling him on the carpet for the same reasons.
