Why aren't we doing to bush what they would surely do to our guy?
I think this is the single issue that pisses me off the most, our lack of teeth and lack of righteous vengeance, and lack of doing our duty.

We watched helplessly as they trashed and politically crippled the last legally elected president, and now we stand around like zombies allowing bush to do any fucking thing he wants without a fight. Why? WHY?

2. I agree.. this is one of my greatest frustrations too. I can only conclude
that the (Democratic) Party leadership is weaker and less ruthless (and I mean in a bad way, I think they should be more ruthless) than the Republicans.

And also, STILL largely afraid to be painted "weak" on defense/war/terra. I got news for ya--they paint you that way every day in every way anyway!

4. Why?
Because many "leaders" fear Republican labels more than they fear the Neocon`s destruction of our country and our Constitution. Step #1....fire the image makers, fire the malleable Gumby Representatives and get back to basic Democratic Party principles.

5. Are you speaking politically?
Or do you have something more sinister in mind :D
In either case we got to realize that we are in a street fight. It's time to take off the gloves and grab a two by four because marquis de queensbury rules no longer apply.

10. I like the term "street fight"...
Any sense of civility or fairness went out the window a long time ago. Yes, it's a street fight.

6. Maybe because as of yet, they hold two, if not three, branches of govt.
If you're talking about Congress...it's difficult to "do anything" with Bush when both houses are held by Republicans.

And let's not even talk about the relevant courts.

7. "Watch that old money roll in"
Here's why:

1. Them big old corporate dollars spend just as well when Democrats get them as when Publicans do. Pubs have been on that sugartit so long that they act like $1000-an-hour Vegas call girls. Democrats are so new to the game that they act like crack whores.

2. CON$sultant$. In radio, it's called "minimizing the tuneouts." Taken to its extreme (which is ALWAYS the case), tuneINs wind up being minimized as well. "Any flavor your like, as long as it's Plain Vanilla."

3. Fear of being laughed at on television. (And this could be #1.)

8. All is fair in love and war and this is bygawd war
if we want to keep our country in any semblance of what it was we had better realize we are at war with the right wing of the re:puke: party.

11. The reason..
... that even though everyone is PISSED at the Republican they are still not too enamored of the Dems is simple.

The Dems rarely speak up. Just a token here and there, like the famous "shut down the Senate" trick that STILL has not produced phase 2 of the report.

I guess they are all afraid of the MSM attack dogs or they really don't care what happens as long as they keep their jobs - I dunno. It's really getting old.

If the Dems let Bush attack Iran, I'm done with being a Dem. You can only compromise so much.

16. because congress is owned by megacorps, because there's
prolly not much difference betwixt the two parties deep down, because the NWO agenda is rolling along globally and we're just little jerks who believe that we live in the United States and that we have an actual democracy or republic or something and that our voices matter

19. Because both parties serve the same
corporate masters.

If Gore was in the White House on 9/11/01, there would have been no rally around the flag (FYI: I loathed Bush on 9/10/01 and loathed him even more on 9/12/01. I KNEW he and the Republicans would use the events of 9/11/01 for partisan political gain. What I didn't realize is how supine the Democrats would remain). There would have been investigation after investigation to find out what really happened. The right wing talk machine would have been in overdrive saying Gore knew this or Gore knew that. Look what they did to Clinton about Vince Foster's suicide. JERRY FALWELL accused Clinton of murdering Foster and making it look like a suicide.

The Democrats need to grow a pair and brand the Republicans as the Greedy Oil Party and the party that gives Paris Hilton tax breaks at the expense of working people.

If we could figure out why, it might help.

21. because when a democratic politician make a position
our "liberal" media pundits complain that they're being mean, they're too emotional-but when a Repuke does the same thing, maybe even more vociferously, it's they have a point, they're emotional because they're right and they have the right to be upset. See how that works? Then, the media keeps telling the public over and over again, the Democrats are wimps, the Democrats have no plan. And, the media keeps saying it enough times, then even some Democrats believe the shite. Also, those strong Democratic leaders are rarely invited to the party; better to show the more wimpy, apologetic ones, to validate the media's claim that the Democrats have no plan, the Democrats are wimps, the Democrats are weak on terror--see how wimpy they are, they can't protect you. In my heart and soul, I believe that MSM, especially the networks, are complicit and are apologists for the corruptive, immoral behavior of this administration-they've catapulted the propaganda, the lies for their own corporate interest--I will never trust them again!!!!
