Where Do My Rights Stand?
Scorecard time:

1. The Congress hasn't passed any law demanding adherence to a religious belief, but at the same time over half of the members consider this a "Christian Nation" and my tax dollars are being used to support "faith based" organizations, predominantly Christian.

Is it free speech to be herded into "free speech zones". Newspapers are threatened with criminal suits for printing what they are able to find out and what would happen to you if you stood up from the gallery in either house of Congress with a demand of redress of your grievances? You'd make be in a DC Jail within the hour, that is what would happen.

Amendment 1? I'd say about three quarters of it has been lost.

2. If there is one thing this country has its a well regulated militia. Every state has one, its called the National Guard. On the other hand the right of the people to keep and bear certainly isn't what it used to be. Firearm owners, and I am one, are under constant assault from anti-gun-nuts who would take away ever bit of this right given the chance. Still, we are the most heavily armed nation on earth so I'd say this one hasn't been eroded much more than about 25%.

3. 100% here. I have not been forced to provide shelter for our fighting men. One has to wonder though how this squares with soldiers not protected by sufficient body armor? What is my tax dollar being used for if not to shelter and protect our fighting men and women?

4. Who is secure in their person when people are being snatched up off the street to disappear into the bowls of a silent Government? The President demands that he may go into anyones home to rifle their effects and to search and seize unhindered by warrant. We have lost our 4th Amendment rights.

5, 6, 7, 8. For the past five years and up until this very moment men and women are being held in prisons, secret and known, without charge, bail, or access to the court. We have lost our 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Amendment rights.

9 and 10.

Under the Unitary Executive, wherein the assumed powers of the Presidency are conveyed to all executive agency, the President has claimed all powers not enumerated by the Constitution. He demands to be above Federal Law and State Law, he demands that no person shall be privileged before him. We have lost our 9th and 10th Amendment rights.

And that is my scorecard. All is not yet lost, but we're not far from it. It is time to take back our nation, to demand the rule of law, to return to the Constitution. It is time that we all stand and with a single voice demand our inalienable rights.

6.

1. Well...
I wonder about the second, Thom, seems to me where these people in Florida can shoot me because I merely look threatening kind of evens out all your complaints about "anti gun nuts". It is awfully hard to see where there is room to complain when you grant that "we are the most heavily armed nation on earth". What is it that you desire here? No one has knocked on my door demanding to know if I have a gun.
