Racial Profiling and why the hicks suck at it

I just need to rant on this, I know most of you on here are already well aware of this but I am so sick and tired of people complaining about how us "liburs" won't let us conduct racial profiling (cause you know the liburs have held absolute power for the last 15 years)



First off here is the simple argument against racial profiling. A terrorist is not going to board a plane looking like bin Laden. The guy is going to likely be wearing a Star of David or a cross and he will know the Torah or the Bible better than any Jew or Christian you've ever met. He won't have much of an accent as he will have spent the last 2-3 years or so perfecting his "I'm 2nd generation American with grandparents from Anywhere, Europe) Oh yea Bubba, these guys can be disciplined enough to convince even a sharp examiner that they are from Israel or better yet just from a country that is not located in the middle east so you'd never even think to suspect them especially when you're programmed to think that terrorists only come from them brown people nations where they gots the woman who put blankets over themselves.

Then you got the fact that people like this fucking idiot who shot a sikh here in Arizona are the ones who are calling for racial profiling.

Wanted to kill an Arab but shot a Sikh instead. Yup, you cousin pumping idiots are really batting 1000 on this whole let's find and hunt the arab looking guys. No wonder they love Bush. They wind up killing a member of group known to be more anti-arab than any of good ol boy could ever hope to be.

So anyways yea you know what forget it I think racial profiling is a good idea, some Canadien the other day really really offended me with a joke that involved custard pie and a woman's breasts so I'm gonna go all premptive on Puerto Rico now. I'm talking anybody who is SERIOUS about getting the job done would fit my description not some idiot with mental problems.


My point was that if anything a terrorist who truly serious about causing devastation will not be open about their Islamic faith or to their radical political prerogatives for that matter.

Then there's guys like Timothy McVeigh and Eric Rudolph; the pregnant irish woman who was carrying a bomb for Abu Nidal; and hundreds of skinhead Aryan Nation types. We've also got Sendero Luminoso, the IRA, various Indonesian terrorist groups, and all manner of other bad actors, none of whom can be pigeonholed into a single group of obviously ethnic characteristics. Point being, it's not possible to profile all the passengers in line at the airport by their racial or ethnic appearance. You not only target innocent people unfairly, you run the risk of missing the real bad guys. Profiling, if you want to call it that, has to be done by behavioral characteristics, travel patterns, etc. You can't just round up all the "Muslim-looking" people and interrogate and strip-search them and figure it's safe.
