Reader in Chief? Readers of the Billings Gazette see through that one
 If it isn't selling in the heartland, Rove is losing his touch.

Lost the Midas Touch and on to the Ex-Lax Touch, eh, Karl?

Trying to spruce up shrub's image? People not buying it. Andy Card was right, 'you don't introduce a new product in August' Selling W as a big reader? The junta is in trouble.

Just a taste, there's plenty more

This is a guy who refuses to even read his daily briefing paper (the CIA guy has to read it to him). Clinton liked to read a lot, and I doubt he read 60 books during his entire presidency. (Dubya could read 60 books a year only if they contained passages that went: “See Dick. See Jane. See Spot….”)

Sixty books comes out to about two a week. Doesn’t leave much time for running the country. (Now Laura, being a former librarian and all, I could see reading two books a week. As for Brother Karl, might he be engrossed in Mein Kampf? And Cheney’s probably devouring hunting magazines — but with no comprehension on safety issues.)

Yeah, they are busy purging voter rolls. No way in hell the GOP wins in Nov if they allow people to actually vote.

1. People will get to vote.
It's the counting that's the problem.

3. Heard from a TX DUer. Over 25% of names in her DEM district
stricken from registered voters.

Then there is Greg Palast on how a lot of black troops serving in Iraq got their absentee ballots tossed. GOP somehow knew they were away from their mailboxes. GOP sent first class letters, marked DO NOT FORWARD to their homes. When the mail came back undelivered, GOP challenged their ballots on the grounds that they didn't live in the district - they weren't in the district to pick up the mail!

Now, think about all the various laptops that have gone missing: Vets info, active duty troops info, employees from various government jobs info, and so on. Lots of info there on who may or may not be home to check the mail.

If voter rolls are being cleansed now, how will folks know if they have been wrongly dumped before they show up to vote in Nov? You and I are pretty sure we are registered. What may have happened that we don't know about.

I worked elections in a highly GOP county. Believe me, many of the rank and file GOP faithful are capable of subverting democracy on a local level, and will if they don't have witnesses to keep them honest.

What might be going on at local levels all over America? A lot more than just tampering with the software of some of the hardware.
