Police say girl, 14, sexually assaulted at school

A 14-year-old Saguaro High School student was sexually assaulted Friday by a janitor in a building at the school, Scottsdale police said.

Police responded to a sexual assault call at 4:36 p.m. and arrested Roberto Lemus-Retana at the school on suspicion of kidnapping and sexual assault, Sgt. Mark Clark said.

The girl was in the bathroom in one of the campus buildings when Lemus-Retana, 26, entered it, then forced the girl into a nearby room and assaulted her, police said. The suspect left and the girl walked home to call 911, police said.
