52. Apparently he was looking at Laura's shoes...

"First lady Laura Bush, right, grabs President Bush's arm, Friday, Jan. 20, 2006, as he jokingly looks down at her shoes as they left to spend the weekend at Camp David in Maryland" (from freerepuglic)

Could it be that he doesn't like her dressing like Condi...

Generalized muscle incoordination, another symptom of Wernicke Korsakoff syndrome.

Or he could have had a mild stroke or he could be drugged or he could be drunk or he could be sleepwalking. Who knows? It's not like anybody's gonna tell the truth.

18. Second Picture Reminds Me....
Of helping my grandmother when she began to feel weak and shaky after her operation. She could walk all right but had lost confidence in her body. So I would keep a hold of her upper arm in case she began to sag. Holding her hand didn't give her a feeling of security and walking with my arm around her middle was too intimate (very proud old lady). She went downhill pretty quickly even though the operation (cancer) was successful. Another elderly lady of my acquaintance said that she felt fine, fit and full of life until she had an operation when she was fifty-two. She says she never recovered that feeling in full...though today she could probably walk me into the ground even though she's seventy-something. I wonder what * has done to himself. These pictures really look like he's falling apart. If you didn't know better, you'd think these were taken on a visiting day at some permanent care facility.

25. Wasn't that supposed to be
a radio so Karl Rove could whisper Bush talking points during the debates? Tbis was liberal conventional wisdom in the 2004 election - but looking at it now, it's the same lump, but you're right, it does truly look like a bulletproof vest. Maybe that's why he's walking so oddly?

29. The first image looks like he is simply listening to Laura intently.
The second one looks like she is steadying him.

I just looked up Ataxia - it sure could explain a lot about his scrapes with the floor - dirt or furniture -sage and why his is not so athletic. If there is anything clinically wrong likek this, it means his doctors lied last summer - wouldn't it take awhile for this to come on - more than five or six months?

49. He wears cop ties
The department my BIL is in requires its officers to wear ties. They used to wear clip-ons, but you look like a computer nerd in one of those--this isn't the image police like to project. And of course they can't wear regular four-in-hand ties because it's way too easy for a suspect to strangle an officer with a tied necktie.

Now they wear special police ties. These are slick. They look like a regular tie, but they come in two pieces that are connected by a low-tenacity Velcro strip. If a suspect starts pulling on the tie, the Velcro separates and frees the officer.

Police ties can be left tied and fastened around the wearer's neck by separating the Velcro, which is what they need to do with Dubya.
