Today, the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Attorney General revealed the results of a 40 year investigation into allegations of illegal large scale involuntary labotomization programs in 30 states. Presenting a 15000 page report on the subject, the Attorney general outlined the the allegations. Beginning in the late '60s, the program was initiated by the Nixon administration in response to fears that an overwhelming number of young americans were shifting their party affiliations to the democrats. The lobotomy programs identified the children from lower IQ families and through the efforts of several religious and social reform organizations established summer camp programs, which along with canoing, basket weaving, and archery instruction, the children were subject to frontal lobe lobotomizations.
