I just put on CSPAN to watch what I didn't see this a.m.
My husband accused me of being like 'those religious people.'
He's blasting The Doors in 'his' room.
Am I wrong?

I saw Jim Morrison back in the 70's and was shocked he didn't "whip it out on stage" lol...was an exciting show at Madison Square Garden.

7. Can you top this?
:-) My husband is 53-4?, grew up in Lawrence, MA, and as a teen was in a back-up band for 'The Doors'. He's never gotten over it, and I don't blame him! :D

6. My room mate tells me all the time that
I am a kool aid drinker, just the blue kind and not the red kind. I just dismiss it as a jab because she just doesn't get it the way I do. I will have to look out for her rights for her, I guess.

 He'll get over it.

8. Sydnie! You listened to
Randi today! If not, you sound like her. I only listen occasionally, but did today and she was on a rant about how she would be the first to be investigated because of her background, but the first to stand up for all the idiots out there now who don't understand how serious things are getting.

:hi:

11. I did have Randi on for a while this afternoon
because my daughter likes to listen to her with me but I didn't hear her talk about that. I heard all the clips from the hearing this morning though. My daughter asked questions and we stopped listening to discuss it.

I have a feeling there are many of us out here that are in the same position. Room mate constantly tells me that even the "good guys" (like Conyers) don't care if my rent is not paid or my life is not in order ... I tell her that they do in a bigger way than that. It's not like I expect them to come over and take out my trash or anything, I just expect them to recognize the trash in Washington and take that out for me. :)

Having someone's back is a two way street and sometimes, you just have to take that leap of faith that they are watching mine as closely as I am watching theirs. That's what a democracy is all about, isn't it? Helping those that can't or won't help themselves. In this case, forewarned is forearmed. At least when we are all starving and freezing, I will know why.

I believe.

10. I don't think listening to the Doors can actually hurt him.

Doug is blasting an old movie in "his" room.

Sometimes, you just need the Doors or an old movie.

:)

13. Yep! We're doing our own thing. I offered him the 'BIG'
TV; no dice now.
Perhaps Santana or Pink Floyd might
change his mind.

using Paula Abdul as your quote source is a bit suspect. :hi:
