1. I remember saying "those people" once
in relation to some poor people living close to us - my dad, a depression survivor, demanded to know exactly what I meant by "those people" - I never used that expression again

3. Remember his hag of a mother?
When she and Poppy toured the Astrodome, where the exhausted, worried, and still in shock victims were staying?

http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001054719

Her "compassionate comments" follow...

"In a segment at the top of the show on the surge of
evacuees to the Texas city, Barbara Bush said: 'Almost
everyone I’ve talked to says we're going to move to
Houston."

Then she added: 'What I’m hearing which is sort of
scary is they all want to stay in Texas. Everyone is
so overwhelmed by the hospitality.

'And so many of the people in the arena here, you
know, were underprivileged anyway, so this--this (she
chuckles slightly) is working very well for them.' "

Ah, yes, the famous Republican compassion. I think Dubya gets his from his mother. I guess the scary part was about them moving to Texas.

9. reminds me of "We treat our blacks real good"
During the 2k recount debacle, one of the many repubes who were always on camera, actually said that.. he was a congresscritter from a northern state.. I whirled around when I heard him say it, but never did see the name...and of course that clip was never run again :grr:
