I'm a Christian, therefore you can trust me.
Edited on Mon Aug-28-06 04:54 AM by Philosoraptor
About 20 or 30 years ago when being born again became really trendy, a lot of small businesses started advertising that they were a Christian business owner, and they'd place the little fishy sign on all their ads in hopes of luring fellow believers to their trade.

But it became quickly apparent that just because you have a fishy sign on your truck, doesn't mean that you get any special breaks, bargains, or favors, you get treated just like any other customer, and if the business man is corrupt, he'll screw you Christian or Satan worshiper.

My parents fell for this routine for several years before they wised up to the fact that just because someone advertises that he is a good Christian doesn't make it so.

This is exactly what bush and his masters have done, they've fooled all the born agains into believing that bush is one of them. An easy trick, one of the easiest and most effective hoaxes going, always has been. It fooled millions of well meaning Americans, just knowing that one of their own was going to be in charge.

This trick works in many phases of our life, we are drawn to a particular group because they are similar in culture or religion, and we can't see the evil behind the smiles and handshakes. I know some real Christians and I know some phony ones, and the real ones figured this trick out years ago.

But to this day, millions have deluded themselves into believing that the neocons are here to protect the people and their religion, but in reality, they don't give a flying fuck about the lord, only the money and the power that comes from hoaxing millions of suckers.

1. Bushco is an Unholy Alliance
combining/supported by

Neocon crazies
Saudi Oil Money
Dubai moneymen
Far-right Israelis
Rapture-ready fundies
Freeper racists
Black ops double-agents

It's amazing they've been able to hold the ship together this long, it should be coming apart at the scenes.

2. A ship of crazies.
One or two crazies in a group has a profound impact, but when every damned one of them is a crazy, its mutiny time.

3. That advertising campaign/logo really is defamatory toward all other
businesses that aren't operated by "real" Christians as it suggests that they are UN-trustworthy and blessed by God.

4. You can look at this in another way also.
When I was a kid the Churches were filled on Sunday. Every business man was there. It was the 'in' thing to do. Course most businesses were also shut on Sunday. As that trend died out the Churches got empty and I thought it was the people who really believed that went so they showed their true colors. Well now in some places it is back to Church once more so all the business men are back in on Sunday or trying to pick up that business. Plus once more we are hearing that God thinks highly of making money so you are in his favor. Seems to go in a wavy like movement.

6. "And you will know them by their fruits..."
"When you do it unto the least among you, you do it unto me..."

Be ye not deceived!

There is nothing Christian about them.

7. on a deal for a new truck once the salesman interjected, I'm a Christian
my reply was, well I don't need to be talking to you anymore, then turned to walk away. I thought the Christian was going to hit me there for a moment until he realized that just might be a mistake, yep he sure showed his Christianities other side. Yes, I then bought a truck from his competitor

9. But when did people become so stupid? I remember when most everyone knew
people like Falwell were hucksters and shills. How did these storefront "Christian" churches fry otherwise healthy brains?

10. I see it as the opposite
"I'm a Christian and therefore you should take everything I say with a grain of salt"

Of course, ANY religion fits.

Who would ask directions from a crazy man?

11. William S. Burroughs never wrote truer words than these:

If you're doing business with a religious son-of-a-bitch, get it in writing. His word isn't worth shit. Not with the good lord telling him how to fuck you on the deal.

12. We should make clear that these hucksters *are* real Christians.
They're just dishonest, opportunistic Christians.

You can find shady business people among people with any religion and among people with no religion. The label "Christian" doesn't imply trustworthiness any more than the label "atheist" does.

13. I stopped believing anything Christians said when I was a kid & the girls
across the street-2 sisters-borrowed my clothes and never gave them back. When I finally did get them back 6 months later-had to literally go into their closets and get the clothes-they were worn out and wrecked! Oh, and that they and their family were lying hypocrites didn't help either! :puke:
