I think Bushies knew damn well that Karr was just a vulnerable mind and a sickfuck, but, he was a sickfuck they could use when they needed him, just like their Hinckley friends' kid.

So, Ramsey's wife is dying, and Ramsey wants his freedom from the list of suspects because it cuts into his options - think Ted Olsen post-Barbara.

So, Ramsey is well aware of the sick creep who can be easily convinced that HE was the last person with JonBenet who he worshipped, how about his old Rethug buddies work that angle and make it a show for whenever the timing suits their needs - as in HEADLINE NEEDS.


And so it happened.

Human nature - Ramsey, post Patsy, is now free to get laid, wants to get laid, and no woman HE wants will have anything to do with him.

To me, Karr is another version of Hinckley.
