some pics from Mexico today

Supporters of Mexican presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador cheer and bang pots and pans after hearing to his speech in Mexico City's main Zocalo plaza on Monday Aug. 28, 2006. Lopez Obrador reacted in outrage after the country's top electoral court said the partial recount in Mexico's disputed presidential race won't erase conservative candidate Felipe Calderon's lead, and called on his supporters to never accept Calderon as president and asking them to decide if he should form a parallel government or carry on a nationwide campaign of protests.

1. thanks for posting
as we all know - it's terribly sad and frustrating when the people who are voted in are not the people elected.

4. It's sad how the media in Mexico is in favor of the ruling party
I caught the news tonight at 9 on Galavision and they only showed the views of the bishop, the president, and Calderon. They all had the same Rovian talking point about how elections are to be respected and not be held hostage by individuals who do not get the results they want.

5. But the whole election has been shown to be a complete sham
Even the probability in the numbers is completely improbable. The people are holding their responsibilities in check. Why we haven't staked a tent city outside the whitehouse is completely beyond me.

11. The people are demanding justice
They are tired of elections being stolen, and are not going to accept anybody except Obrador. They are an inspiration. Another kick.
