To everyone from Louisiana posting about the anniversary of the storm
remember nothing about America has changed, if someone who is not from Louisiana tells you they care, they are lying to you. The rest of the country has never cared and will never care.

2. I think that you are slightly off of the line.
People not from Louisiana may very well care, but they just might not innately understand the whole deal.

3. What??
We have had wonderful people care about and for us. I am sorry if you didn't.

My family members that lost things were pampered by many. They received a great deal form kind, loving people.

4. Well, that's true... the REAL reason I bought $500 worth of...
...bottled water and chipped in $100 for gas to a friend who drove the truckload of bottled water and blankets to New Orleans last August was...

...um...

...oh, yeah, I wanted all the publicity and celebrity appreciation that came with my futile meaningless gesture.

That's the same reason my neighbors down the street opened their homes to a family of strangers from New Orleans, too. And why my work colleagues got their trucks together and collected used furniture to caravan there.

You probably saw us on "Dateline America," right? :sarcasm:

Please try to control your understandable bitterness. Yes there was a shocking display of indifference, incompetence, and carelessness from our government, but I know many, many, MANY ordinary Americans who have commited themselves to helping people in New Orleans and the other Katrina-hit areas rebuild their lives in many ways.

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

sadly,
Bright
