Stupid Slogans from the bush years.
Edited on Tue Aug-29-06 05:49 AM by Philosoraptor
This bunch seem to think that for every problem, there is a proper slogan, which should fit onto a bumper sticker, or headline.

Freedom is on the march, Iraq is the central front in the global war on terror, are two examples.

We're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them over here, is another.

Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman.

Weapons of mass destruction. They hate us for our freedoms. We are turning the corner in Iraq. America and the world are safer with Saddam behind bars.

The army's of compassion. Freedom is god's gift to the world. Waving the white flag of surrender. Cutting and running would be a disaster. Mission accomplished.

We must continue the fight so that those who have fallen did not die in vain.

Nine eleven changed everything.

For every problem there is a slogan, written by his masters, who know that the small percentage of those who vote for bush like to keep it simple. Just write the slogans, email them to rush limburger and bob novak and bada boom, all the monkeys are repeating them.

What are some of your favorite irritating slogans from the wacky bush years? Or some cool counter slogans would be nice.

1. Freedom isn't free
- Support the Troops

- Shock and Awe

- Homeland Security

- No Child Left Behind

- The 'Clear Skies' Act

- The unPATRIOTic Act

- Compassionate Conservatism

... and the winner is:

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

5. We got em' on the run. Bring em' on. Dead or alive.
The enemy wants to kill Americans. We will not set a timetable in Iraq. If we leave now the enemy will follow us home.

7. There are people over there who want to kill you
What use are civil liberties if you are dead?

The Blame-America-First crowd

It is my job to protect the American people

It's all Bush's fault (said sarcastically, as if they don't blame everything on Clinton)

8. A lesser known one:
"The Sweet Nectar of Democracy." Usually referred to just what Eastern Europe has recieved as of recent. As someone who has lived quite some time in Eastern Europe, there is little sweet taste in most people's mouths.

18. "Real plans for real people"
Does anyone remember this one? If I recall correctly, it was suppose to be the Bush campaign's new website after someone snatched up a GWBush domain name and made it into a anti-bush site. But, alas, the "Real plans..." name was registered before the Bush people could start on it, so they had to move on to a third domain name.

HAHAHA, what doofi!
