Ahmadinejad challenges Bush to TV debate
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060829/pl_nm/nuclear_iran_dc

TEHRAN (Reuters) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad voiced defiance on Tuesday as a deadline neared for Iran to halt work the West fears is a step toward building nuclear bombs, and challenged President Bush to a televised debate.

"Peaceful nuclear energy is the right of the Iranian nation. The Iranian nation has chosen that based upon international regulations, it wants to use it and no one can stop it," he told a news conference.

The U.N. Security Council has given Iran until Thursday to suspend uranium enrichment -- a process which can produce fuel for civilian reactors or explosive material for warheads -- and has threatened sanctions unless it does so.

(snip)

Washington, which already imposes unilateral sanctions on Iran, has suggested it could consider action outside the Security Council with other like-minded countries.

1. the only way that bu$h can debate is to be wired and fed answers. What
a pitiful excuse for a "leader". It would be a cold day in hell before he would agree to debate any world leader.

2. No doubt Bush feels it would be beneath him to debate such a person.
And, we've all seen Bush's debating skills (what little there is) in the past. "Anyone wanna buy some wood? Duh, huh-huh-huh..."

Ahmadinejad would beat Bush in a debate, there's no doubt about it.

3. The arrogance of Rumsfield, Cheney, and Bush trumped their
playing cards way to soon. They have made all things almost perfect for Iran to go into Iraq and kill our soldiers just as they did North Korea. Ever since Rumsfield picked a number of soldiers out of the air (per Peter Galbraith) The other two axis of evils have went full ahead with their nuclear programs. Now they look down on us and their actions pretty much tell us to "kiss their asses.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wanting to debate Bush is another example of how he feels he can embarrass this country, and debating Bush would be another way.

In Bush's mind of southern terms, it's almost like he has double-dogged dared him.

God help us if Bush feels there is a triple dog dare.

6. The worst part is that when a foreign leader that we think of as a nut
Challenges our president to a debate, the first thing we think is, "No way. He'll steamroll Bush."
