Child porn, religion, gay rights/marriage--what do they have in common? |

They are all topics that push peoples' buttons. They induce as much fear and acrimony as OBL. And BushCo throws them at the citizens of this country one after the other.
If Maslow was correct, the populace should be totally focused on their base security needs now. That has to be a prime component of psyops--make people feel insecure, and afraid.
If people aren't worried about their children being molested, they're worried about terror strikes--not to mention making ends meet.
It's a wonder we aren't all in fetal positions at this point.
Fear mongering is yet another assault on the Constitution.
Whatever happened to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness"?

I don't know where I got this quote from but it's stayed with me since I've known it. It helps me make decisions on my stances on issues such as porn, religion, etc. and that quote is "your rights end where my nose begins." Even though I'm a Christian and I'm not gay and all that why should someone else not have that right to help take care of their families? Why should I be more important to my government? And yes they use that instead of the economy and other important issues such as that. See Karl Rove with Ann Richards, John McCain, John Kerry.
