Under Doctor's Orders, Cindy Sheehan Unable To Travel To Salt Lake City To Join Anti-War Protest Organized For President Bush's Visit.


We are sorry to announce that Cindy will be unable to join Mayor Rocky Anderson and the anti-war community in Salt Lake City in speaking out against the Iraq war during President Bush's visit on Wednesday, August 30th. Under doctor's orders Ms. Sheehan is unable to travel, she is still recovering from a hysterectomy and is not healing as quickly as we anticipated. She will continue recuperating in Texas where she has been since August 6th, when the President began his summer vacation in Crawford.

Cindy is sad that she will not be there in person, but is in good spirits overall, and extremely proud of the peace community in Salt Lake for organizing such a strong event. For more information about Cindy's work at Camp Casey please visit www.campcasey3.org.
