Thoughts as to why it's not all over the place?

3. The MSM have been quiet, compliant lapdogs
because the most notable members of the media were on the * payroll.

Since *'s been pResident, his biggest critics in the media have been blackmailed with the info gleaned from some of those illegal wiretaps performed by the NSA.

In the days after 9-11, the Dems were muted by the Anthrax mailings sent to top level Democrats on Capitol Hill.

I could be wrong, but I can't find anything from them, either.

13. I don't know.........maybe something
important happened in Europe today and the UK Press doesn't have time to tell us the truth about what is going on in our own country, yet!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

It's covering it but
RawStory seems to have "inflated" it a little:

Lawyers Seeking White House Records
NEW YORK — A pair of public interest lawyers said Tuesday they plan to subpoena the White House for any documents showing whether the Bush administration approved a secret program to examine the phone records of millions of Americans.

New Jersey attorneys Carl Mayer and Bruce Afran represent more than two dozen people who have sued Verizon Communications Inc., AT&T Inc. and BellSouth Corp., claiming the telecommunications companies violated privacy laws by turning over phone records to the National Security Agency.

The attorneys said they also planned to subpoena Verizon for documents.

Similar lawsuits have been filed nationwide, some of which have now been consolidated before a federal judge in San Francisco.

11. "Inflated"? Would seem to be. I was expecting an announcement.
Two attorneys representing claimants in a lawsuit over wiretapping by the National Security Agency will subpoena the White House today, RAW STORY has learned.

Bruce Afran and Carl Mayer, who represent hundreds of plaintiffs in lawsuits against Verizon, AT&T, and the US Government, will announnce (sic) today that they are serving both the Bush administration and Verizon with subpoenas.

14. They should still be reporting it
I'd say that even plans to subpeona the White House should be big news - how often does that happen in political history?

But then again, I'm in Goebells Amerika so, who knows...

10. It must be "The Liberal Media" again!

How those right-wing dip shits can continue to think the media is biased toward liberals is beyond me. If that were really true, Bush would have been out on his ass at least four years ago.

12. It takes just one popular news organization to tell the truth.
Just one. And no one's stepping up to the plate, assuming it IS the truth.

I mean, really. If this is true, there's one hell of a scoop crying out for attention. But not a one is going for it.

16. AP Wire has the story -- it's been picked up a little here and abroad
And by Business Week.

Here's the lawyers' press release:
http://releases.usnewswire.com/GetRelease.asp?id=71393

As they are NJ lawyers, one NJ paper picked up the story, as did a Staten Island, NY paper, and one UK outlet.

But so far, the story is just that the two public interest lawyers plan to subpoena the White House. A story, certainly, but not The Story that it would be when they actually DO subpoena someone in the WH.

All I see is Business Week, Newsday, and the Houston Chronicle, just carrying the lone AP story.
