Michael Savage is a fascist |
|
On his radio show tonight he said that the people are weak and need control in order for society to function properly and efficiently.
He was talking about banning pornography. And that it should be a crime for anyone to be accessing it. And he was using kids for his argument. That we have ban porn in order to protect our kids and end pedophilia.
This guy is a moron!

He's attempting to justify authoritarianism. |
|
The fact that a population remains ignorant of many ideas that can help them in the long-run is no excuse to impose one's will on them "for their own good." It's just another tool used to justify oppression.
It is precisely this vein of argument that led to people like Stalin and Hitler. I can make the trains run on time provided you give up your freedom. It's a false trade-off that shouldn't be had.
I strongly suspect that his definition of "society" is simply the same shit we have now except people have been stripped of their ideas and their creativity.

8. He's making correlations with no statistical or scientific data |
|
He says these things as fact, and his audience believes everything he says without question... He never states any data to back up anything he says. His show is nothing but pure opinion based on spinned information.

It shouldn't be news to anybody, let alone latest or breaking.

7. Yes. He is a fascist. I heard the craziest thing the other day. |
|
The scariest thing happened to me when I was driving across country. I tuned into Savage while driving somewhere in outer-Tennessee. Michael Savage said that he was going to talk about food and wine because he was sick of talking about how much he hates liberals. He said that that's all he ever hears on the radio anymore: pundits ranting and raving about liberals. He was complaining that they all stole his schtick and even HE was sick of hearing people complain about liberals.
I noticed that his rhetoric was LESS fascist than it had previously been and MORE like what I was hearing on MSM. Then I realized that Savage hadn't become less fascist-- MSM had become MORE fascist.
Scary times.

The first time I heard him, I tuned in to the middle of an extended rant about how all Americans hate liberals because liberals were the ones who stole our (meaning his) lunch money back in grade school. I really think he forgot where he was and was lost in some weird reliving of a painful childhood memory. It was mesmerizing, but kind of sad...

pangs. I stopped listening to his type all together and I've been much happier. A person can only handle so much hate and over the past few years, I've had my fill. I listen to NPR exclusively now and the world doesn't seem so much like a giant steaming shithole filtered through recycled Nazi propaganda. If you listen to people like him for too long, you'll either become a mindless drone where a vision of a demonic Jesus plagues your soul or you start imagining what it would be like to strangle people like that with some piano wire. Either way, they're just doing their job as a hatemonger. The goal in thier game is to create animosity between "Repukes" and "Democraps" and allow the Riech-wing to maintain their intractibility while ruling. For those who align with them, they believe they're on a "winning" team even if they don't necessarily known what the game is all about. For us "losers", we get grow outraged and indignant over thier apostacy of democracy and thus "feed the beast" by opening our mouths about thier opinions. Instead of allowing him the satisfaction of a "job well done", I prefer to just listen to the sounds of some dude in Jaba Jaba land somewhere beating on rusted out Edsel with drumsticks passed down from some prehistoric ancestor. (Hijacking Gandhi's axiom) "Fist they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you and then I change the channel."
