THIS is the Bush Summer Reading List?
Edited on Tue Aug-29-06 09:02 PM by im10ashus
Who the hell has THIS much time in the summer? They sure as hell aren't fooling anyone with this list. Maybe Dr. Seuss and the V.C. Andrews collection, but not this list.

... while laura dreamily gazes outta the window as she flashes passing truckers, and the rug rats fight in the back seat over crayons and anatomically correct GI Joe dolls.

Edited on Wed Aug-30-06 09:02 AM by Blackhatjack
...that way he could "read" all sixty(60) in one afternoon coffee break.

He admits he does not read newspapers, is incurious about the rest of the world, does not realize there are Sunni AND Shiite branches of Islam, and has his Presidential Daily Briefing reduced to one page and read to him every day --- and the White House has the gall to put out Bush read not one, but two works of Shakespeare?

Beyond even a whiff of truth.

Edit: typo.

12. I swear.
It took me two months to get through the 800 plus pages of "Underworld" by Don DeLillo this summer, because I have only been reading on the train to and from work. Imagine the life of leisure where you can read 20 plus books AND run a country into the ground. So many lies, so little time.

10. That is the list the White House told you he has read
BUT:
In reality, he has returned to a favorite reading partner:

Includes such stories as "My Pet Goat"

Here is a video of george reading the book to some school children on a visit he made one historic day in 2001...

14. as long as he's reading John D. MacDonald ...
He should check out "Barrier Island". It's about sleazy political dealings on the Gulf Coast (and the author even predicts widespread hurricane damage due to crooks circumventing the building restrictions).

And there is one unpleasant character who pretends to be a good ol' boy, though he came down there from the North and is only pretending! Gee, sounds awfully familiar.

21. I read that many and more because it is my JOB.
I am writing a masters thesis, so I HAVE TO READ many books.

There is NO WAY Bushler read that many books AND carried out all of his presidential duties AND campaigned for repukes AND went on vacation...

This is a blatant lie that should be exposed. He should be ridiculed night and day for making such a preposterous claim.

He reads French existential philosophy because he is conflicted about
subject verb agreement.

"I got my looks on for 'em." When asked about terrorist & bin laden about 8 months after 9/11.
I had to pull my pick up to the berm of the country road I was on and stop and scream after I heard
that "gem."
