Poll question: Well it's been a year since Katrina. Based on what you've seen...
...over the last 12 months, do you believe BushCo as any serious intention of rebuilding New Orleans, to include construction of a levy system that can withstand future hurricanes like Katrina?

actually think it would happen again the same way. I think the number of buses that would head to NO if a category 4 was heading in that direction again... I think the number of buses from every city in the USA would be thousands. Just remember that there was a lead up time of 4 days when they knew it was a real storm. And they knew the levies were weak. I don't think it would happen again.

That being said - what else is going to fall apart and cause casualties because of these selfish cooks in the WH? Your health care system is already there.

And the clean-up and rebuilding of NO is awful.

So much more to go wrong with the GOP. So much more will. I doubt they would make the same mistake again. They'll take storms seriously. They did with Rita.

5. Seriously - they didn't take the crisis seriously last year. And yes if
Jeb had been "President" of Louisianna - they would have. But now.. they'll have to. Cost them too much.

6. I hope you're right. The people of that region have suffered enough.

9. People will continue to suffer due to lack of health care now that
many are traumatized. People will continue to suffer. They just cannot try the "feel no empathy for these people" approach they tried after Katrina.

They realized even the most deluded part of their base have normal human feelings for at least compatriots in dire distress.

But there is much they can, do, and will do to hurt people. Simply by being "bad at government" they have worked horrors.
