Immigration Ads a Problem for Campaigns
By SUZANNE GAMBOA

WASHINGTON -- Capturing the immigration debate in political ads this campaign season _ without upsetting Hispanics _ is proving tricky for the parties and candidates.

<snip> The immigration debate was left hanging when Congress adjourned for the summer. Rather than negotiate a compromise on the vastly different bills passed by the House and Senate, Republicans and Democrats have traded barbs over immigration at field hearings and in political ads.

Yea, this is going to be a real balancing act for candidates, including where I live in California.

But I think the real problem is that this became such a huge "problem" over night. I don't understand it.

Get ready for things to get even more mean and nasty once congress resumes from break. :eyes:
