"..Thirty or forty years from now, history will decide if I was right .. "
...or wrong". Paraphrasing Bush in a response to a question from Brian Williams. He said he did not believe in "short-term history". If there is peace in that part of the world in 30 or 40 years, he wants the credit for it. Well, Mr. Bush, if there is peace in that part of the world in thirty years, it will not be because of your ill-advised war, it will be in spite of it.

1. What kind of grades did Student Simpleton get in history?
I'm not persuaded, Mr. Bush.

And, if you're still alive 30 or 40 years from now and haven't drunk or drugged yourself to death, will you plead guilty to crimes against humanity if you're still a failure?

2. Blair tried to peddle that nonsense too
When you don't have a logical leg to stand on, or one single fact on your side, you just claim that you're ahead of your time and that history will vindicate you.

3. I think dimson has to believe that because he knows he won't
be around to hear the criticism. I think historians will make the blivet's complicity crystal clear way before then.

4. In effect...
...he gets to ignore the vast majority of United States citizens who are judging him RIGHT NOW as a complete and total failure.

How convenient for the little jerk.

So, if the Middle East is in chaos, in the next 30 years--will he also step forward and claim complete responsibility for that?

He's avoiding responsibility--the only thing he knows how to do. Just ask his father, who has bailed him out of dozens of botched life experiences gone haywire.

7. No. Let's decide RIGHT NOW
Investigate, impeach, indict, incarcerate.

Let history decide if we caught you in time to save the planet.

9. Right on!
We must live in the present - not 40 years in the future. And not depending on who might be the propagandists of the time...
