1. Dastardly!

Building trust right out of the gate. Poor Katie isn't getting much of break. Fortunately (for her), she is well compensated, so I don't feel too sorry for her.

2. They might very well have photoshopped out a few wrinkles or grey hairs.

3. Why would they not retouch the photos???
They are publicity photos... EVERYONE that is in the public eye has their photos retouched...

It is very common, and no big deal.

6. Re-touching is one thing, BUT
to remove a few wrinkles from a man's face or to highlight a bit here and there is NOT the same as "removing" about 40 lbs from a woman's body..

Did they even use a "body-shot" for the male anchors?

We only see chest-up on most of these people anyway.. Why is a woman anchor's publicity photo a full body shot?

8. Do they take weight off of male publicity photos?
Is she not thin enough for the broadcast?

Was Scheafer just the right weight? If not, did they take weight off him?

9. I ran into Dan Rather in Aspen.
He looks amazing... and a damned sight better than
that annoying "little" Katie Couric.
