212-871-8290. TELL AIR AMERICA HOW PISSED YOU ARE!
That's the programming number and they've already got a prerecorded message that asks you if you have concerns about the Malloy show. Hell yeah we do.

3. What if I'm not pissed . . .
. . .radio is a business, not a public service. Its unfortunate but its true, if Malloy was popular with the advertisers and generating revenue he would still have a job. This is not a criticism of him whatsoever its just an assessment of business.

5. How about the facts...
- the he had JUST been re-signed for a two year contract?

- that they had been touting his return to the New York Airwaves?

- that this stinks to high heaven?

10. how does one explain the business model fueling the
longevity of the Satellite Sisters? I don't know a single person who can stand to listen to that show yet it seems to avoid the chopping block.

12. BAD business decision, losing listeners and supporters is a BAD
business decision and AAR is going to find out just how bad it was, imo.

14. Which is why left leaning populism can never win in this society.
You just summed it up. When money is more important than ideas, only the wealthy have a voice. And don't start with this free-market bullshit about merit, etc. Anything that threatens the status quo is turned to dust by a sea of well funded propaganda.

19. That's right. And one thing "business" has to deal with is audience.
Don't ask me to second guess acccountants. I am Mike's audience and I speak in that capacity.

For everyone's who's not feeling smarmy and concerned about the show, call to complain.

22. What "commercial business decision"?
Have you seen their books? No? Then don't make ignorant comments about supposed "business" decisions. Phil Donahue, after all, led the MSNBC ratings when his show was cancelled.

And isn't it very interesting that less than 2 hours since the news broke that their message specifically mentions Mike's show - they must be getting slammed with calls - GOOD keep it up everybody! This was a RIDICULOUS DECISION

18. So Long Air America
Eh, it was encouraging. But other than Randi and Malloy, and Mother Jones and the religious show -- they suck.

Malloy spoke for me.
