1. I'll bet Lincoln would know.
Or maybe ralps? I haven't listened in for a couple of months and just when I'm ready to resume, this happens. :-(

3. He probably said "son of a bitch" and "bastards" too many times.
It had been recently requested from the higher-ups that he clean-up his language.

4. He was beautifully on fire yesterday about Katrina
It was vicarious primal scream therapy for me but I wonder if the "powersthatbe" just thought it went too far. It just makes me sick that he's been let go. Calling AAR now.

6. maybe that pig limbaugh did something to manipulate Mike's
firing from AAR. Oh who knows, I just want Mike back, geez, no Randi, no Mike that leaves Sam for tonite, and Peter Werbe.

8. Somethin odd I picked up I believe last friday :
Mike was saying, out of the blue, " well good night truthseekers, you never know how much longer we will be on since you can always be terminated at a oment's notice in this business".

Makes me think there was something happening then already.

9. He mentioned at the close of yesterday's show
that it was like "the good old days" when he credited all the board ops and people who were helping him sub for Randi -- he referred to them as people who had "gone on to bigger and better things." It was a strange sign-off ... he sounded wistful and nostalgic for a couple of minutes, then moved on to the next day's guests and a few final calls. I'm trying to recall what he might have said in the past few days that would have set management off ... ???

13. When he had on Webster Tarpley....
Tarpley thanked him for braking the media taboo and Malloy said "well, as you know, I'm networking..."

That's a phrase someone uses when they know the ax is coming....

11. nothing yesterday
If he would have gotten the AX it would have been after he gave a 911 truther the whole show a few weeks ago.

If anything would have been too much for the powers that be, that show would have been it, however that was weeks ago.

14. Coverage of the Israeli offensive into Lebanon?
I noticed that "The Forward" conservative Jewish newspaper was a big advertiser on the show and always thought they were strange bedfellows.

15. Back when I had a premium subscription
which was all of an hour ago, I liked to listen to Mike commercial free when I got home from work in the morning. A few weeks ago he was talking about the hysterical woman who had to be subdued on a flight and at one point he brought up something about 911 and almost an entire rant of his was bleeped out by Air America (and quite frankly I believe they did it purposely, definitely not a technical difficulty) I had to go to White Rose Society to find out what he said. I wish I could remember exactly what he said, but I do know that it had something to do with not getting escorts for the planes. There wasn't even any cursing involved. It was really weird.

18. I see it this way.
Franken and Rhodes reportedly demanded BIG upfronts on their conracts ... which total well over $3 million. AAR is broke. So they get tired flacid party hacks like David Binder; the EcoTalk nag lady will do it for free because she has a mission. Seder did not take a reduction in pay to do a show alone instead of together with Janeane.

Franken doesn't want anything controversial on "his" network because he wants to be a Senator, where the real money is.

The first and foremost reason is Franken and Rhodes' greed.

The second is Israel-Lebanon. One must never, never criticize Israel in New York. Not done.

The third is that Malloy is controversial and the effing management MBA suits are afraid of anything that won't go over well at the club on the weekend.

They are banal. They are evil. Management people ARE the banality of evil.
