Most Islamic peoples use the same technologies and modern amenities we all do. For them to successfully obliterate western civilization, they would also have to destroy themselves and the planet entirely.

Speaking of Saddam to Brian Williams, Bush** said, "He also, by the way, had weapons of mass destruction at one time and had the capacity to make them."

Conveniently failed to clarify that they were weapons WE gave Saddam back in the 80s to fight Iran, and that the Rummy/Saddam handshake was part of sealing that particular pact with the devil.

And it's all phrased in the past tense too, because, as we know, their invasion of Iraq hasn't turned up any WMD we didn't know about, or any renewed capacity to make more since the 1991 Gulf War.
