See, AAR has been making awful decisions for awhile now ~ hate to say it but ever since that Danny Goldberg was hired as the CEO. The first thing he did was fire Lizz from Rachel Maddow's show. Then they messed with the line-up. THEN they fired Marc Maron and NOW it is Malloy.

During those times we wrote letters, we called, we posted in forums, we signed petititons and we got ...nothing from AAR. When I emailed, I did not even an automated "thank-you for writing ..."

With the firings they have done, it seems like the most progressive voices are the ones getting fired. Plus they are the most talented often, the funniest, the most passionate, or anything that does not look "dlc-like"(I am also suspicious they ran out Garafalo but maybe she just got tired of their crap, lol). The ones most to the Left.

If they don't care about their listeners and ignore what we are saying, disregard petitions that have thousands of names, etc, we have the right to wonder and chat about wtf is going on.

We are grieving and we are mad and we are frustrated. Seems to epitomize the way the whole Dem trip is nowdays ~ especially with dynomites like Paul Hackett in politics and talk hosts like Malloy. I don't know about anyone else here but I am TIRED of having some half-assed Dems promising if you stay CENTRIST then well you can sleep with the devil and they will make SURE you won't get ran into the ground when you end up pregnant out on the street (yeah right). If you find us so offensive, then please ignore all Malloy posts.

No, we're not. You're not a regular listener, so you could not possibly understand the bond between Mike and his regular listeners. Mike has cultivated a loyal following; listening to him is a cathartic experience. He resonates with us. He expresses our outrage. We may not agree with everything he's said on the air, but he's still managed to earn our respect and affection in ways no other talk show host could ever hope to accomplish.

I wish I had a better perspective on the situation, though. I've never really listened to him but did just listen to some of the archives from white rose society that someone mentioned. They almost put me to sleep. Though I was quite unimpressed, I also know that my sampling was by no means an accurate portrayal of what he truly may have been about. I just wish I had come across something interesting in the 10 different archive tapes I browsed through. Regardless, some are obviously passionate about him so I'm sure he had some good stuff. But that doesn't excuse calling non Malloy listeners or fans not 'true liberals'. That's just humorous to no end how extreme some people get. :rofl:
