Are the going off the air?
Or is it programming change?
I love Tom Hartman and Christy Harvey.
On edit: Does that make me a persona non grata?

4. I understand Mr. Malloy's passion. |
|
I don't listen to him.
He could have changed a little if he'd wanted to keep the job. He chose not to.

One of the regulars on Al Franken, but I can't remember his name.
I love the way that the two of them seemed to be amused most of the time. That was one of the good things about Katherine Lanpher with Al Franken, her sense of humor and her wonderful laughter.

Information, not sugar coated, but at least with as little stress as possible.
I work at a computer all day. I want INFORMATION. It is good to get spoken information, so I can relax at home.

I'd like to see Oliphant and Harvey take over Franken's show. |
|
It was so great to listen to intelligent, measured, non-hysterical, non-"funny" commentary. And they don't interrupt people. Al Franken is a good guy, and he did a lot to get AAR going, but sometimes he drives me nuts -- it seems like he can't shut up; even when there's a really serious discussion going on, he often interrupts his guests with wisecracks. Oliphant and Harvey, in contrast, were consistently excellent.

But he is an acquired taste, I haven't been able to acquire.
I especially don't like people who interrupt, but I also don't want to listen to call-ins who only want to make speeches and DON'T engage in discourse. There IS a fine line with that about when to interrupt them. Thom Hartman demonstrated a good sense of it this afternoon.
I like the call ins. Jerry Springer handles them pretty well, drawing them out, sometimes he kicks ass in disagreeing with them, but usually NOT.
