Colorado Republicans "Snicker" At Gore, Science
To read the whole story, click here.

Colorado Republicans, looking for a way to knock Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Bill Ritter's stance on global warming, found time to "snicker" at Al Gore.

<snip>

Perhaps this is what we should expect from some Republican circles -- laughing at Gore and making fun of his pet issue, global warming. After all, President Bush laughed at Gore's documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. And lobbyists for ExxonMobil created a parody video to belittle Gore and make fun of global warming.

For what it's worth, Ritter is leading Beauprez by 7 points in a recent Wall Street Journal/Zogby poll. Maybe Ritter (on behalf of Gore and science) will wind up having the last laugh.

3. Hang tough, Ritter.
You're ahead and they're scared, getting desperate, and they have nothing legitimate to fight back with.

Remember Ghandi's words: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."

4. Good for those Colorado Republicans. That smarty-pants Al Gore
is using Science to undermine Christianity.

Everybody knows that.

The liberals made Global Warming up so they could attack the Bible.

__________

I hope Colorado Democrats show up in record numbers this November and put several more Democrats in as many offices as possible.

5. It was very difficult to get the earth rounded off
We started with that flat square sheet and hammered it into a ball.
Then we gathered dung from the giant tortoise upon whose shell it was balanced and filled the empty blue ball with it.
We never thought we'd get the oceans glued into their beds!
But it was worth it - if we can make Jesus cry!
I just want to know who put the freepers onto us!

7. LOL! And as for who put the freeps onto you guys, I'd bet it was
Joe Lieberman.

Whispers of his double-agent status are legendary.

9. "What's underneath the turtles?"
"Nothing! It's turtles all the way down!"

I forgot where I read that; typical freeper non-thinking. B-)

6. Ritter is going to beat Beauprez
Both-ways-Bob is mired in, well, just about everything. He isn't getting any traction, nor does he even seem to be campaigning much. Ritter, on the other hand, is reaching out to everyone and getting a lot of response from independents and registered Republicans who are fed-up with borrow and spend policies and religious zealotry.

Ritter's going to ride to victory, and you can bet I'll be pumping my fists and cheering at the TV when I hear that he wins.

10. If Gore's message isn't heeded, one day the descendants
of this bunch of assholes will look back - as they face inevitable extinction - and wonder why nothing was done.

John Marshall thinks snide comments about environmentalism are going to win his candidate points in COLORADO ?
Hello?! This is the state that, even as it gave it's electoral votes to the chimp in 2004, also voted to PASS a renewable energy incentive.
The voting majority of Coloradans may be homophobic, xenophobic, ignorant fundie weirdos, but even THEY love our Rocky Mountains and vote pro-environment.
Bad move on Beauprez's part.
