Do You Believe Humans Shouldn't Be Tortured? |
|
Do you believe that humans shouldn't have to experience pain caused by another human?
Do you think that if you were in ANY situation, it would be okay for you to be tortured?
If you do, then you are a sick fuck.
People for peace don't treat people with a lack of respect.
How many sick fucks are there out there?

Intentionally inflicting pain on any living being is sick.

4. Anyone who has taken an introductory psychology course |

knows about the student study about inflicting pain and the abuse of prisoners, of how easy it is for humans to degenerate to that level. Humans are sick as a species. Look how many of our children are abused or tortured in some way by their own parents, the very people who should be looking out for their well being. Now imagine what the actual number of children being abused or tortured, not to mention the women and wives. Abuse of animals is the first step toward abusing people as respect for life is lost. As far as torture for military or strategic information--it is counterproductive and ultimately ineffectual. So it would appear that the point of torture is a love of inflicting pain or a means of revenge and it would also appear that in many people the ability and willingness to use torture is not too far beneath the surface.

5. The majority of Australians "approve" of torture, |
|
according to the polls.
And, as an Australian, that fact makes me feel so sick.
Even if you believe the end justifies the means, the fact is, information extracted by torture is not reliable.
And if anyone can be tortured, everyone can be. It's all just up to the whim of whatever authority picks you up, now.
I believe that every killing, even the killing of a spider, needs to have a good reason to justify it. And causing pain brutalizes all responsible. When our country causes pain, we all share responsibility for it. Because, even if we are against it, it is our own country, and we have not managed to stop it.
And it brutalizes us all.

6. There are lots of pro-torture sickos out there |
|
They never stop to imagine how they'd feel if they or their loved ones were being tortured for information, it's all about them feeling superior by terrorizing others. They're part of the problem, they're the shit stuck to the ass of humankind.
