i watched some old Clark Gable - Yvonne DeCarlo Civil War movie yesterday
set in Civil War era New Orleans.

Not that I think the time of slave ownership and plantation owning was a good time, but now, after Katrina, what was a romaticized piece of cheap fiction, became a nostalgic piece of a historic New Orleans, destroyed by Bush incompetence and covert enforcement of White Supremacy. The South burns again, this time not in Atlanta but in New Orleans itself and it is its rich history and traditions that which is being burnt by the bushboyking.
