1. Done...still 43-50.
Newsflash, America. The Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Canada are still first-world countries. Same-sex marriage will not end civilization.

10. We've won this one
It's not "if" gay marriage will be legal in the US, it's when.

4. D@mn!
Just how many fundamentalists did they poll?

In New England states, the question hardly gets a "no"; everyone is free to make their choices, as long as it harms no one.

Gay marriages harms nothing, not even the "sanctity of marriage"; the institue of marriage has a lot, LOT more to worry about than two same-sex people getting married

6. That's the thing about New England
There's a long tradition here of people minding their own business. It's the perfect climate for individual rights to flourish.

Here in Massachusetts, unless you actually know a married gay couple or spend a lot of time reading wedding notices in the papers, you don't even notice that it's legal.

8. 43% Yes, 7% undecided = 50%. No = 50%
Sounds odd, doesn't it? Breaking down essentially 50/50?

9. I really enjoy that questions about civil rights are bundled next to
the poll question "Which superhero do you want to be?"

12. If I could be a superhero, I would be Gay Marriage Man!
I'd fly through the air in a leather harness and assless chaps turning people gay with a single touch of my riding crop.

16. But will you have a little Tinkerbell sidekick?
Or will you have a Dykes-on-Bikes sidekick who pops wheelies before storming through the walls of courthouses so that the gay hordes can crawl through the rubble and demand their marriage certificates. Of course, all the evil conservatives will be tied up by Brokeback Mountain Man's golden lasso of truth.
