More fun in trying to contact AAR. |
|
First, they started shunting E-Mails to the help desk. Then they disabled E-Mail all together. Then they shunted Malloy calls to an easy-to-ignore voice mailbox. Now, I've decided to hit them where it hurts.
Tech support request for Premium subscriber, ticket #2084, submitted 8/31/06 12:03 PM:
"Due to your decision to cancel Mike Malloy, I have decided to cancel my Premium subscription. How may I go about getting a pro-rated refund for the unused time?"
I'm also contacting Ryan Homes, who are building my new house, and telling them that if they continue to support a network that silences its only real Liberal voice, I'm going to cancel my contract with them, and go elsewhere.
AAR, you have a short time to change your minds, and right this wrong. Otherwise, you are no friend of the Left.

2. Here's another reason TO stop supporting. |
|
I just checked on my ticket about how to cancel Premium. No response, but they did basically shitcan it by changing it from "Premium Support" to "The Mike Malloy Show," guaranteeing it's going to be ignored.

you are purposefully flooding the wrong department with emails that have nothing to do with tech support making legitimate tech questions take that much longer to resolve. In my opinion they are treating your ticket exactly as it should be treated.
I appreciate that you are unhappy with the AAR decision about Mike, I don't like it either but try to get a grip. What you are doing at this point borders on unstable.

You are just trying to annoy them. When you sign up with the premium service it clearly states.
Cancellations A user may cancel an account at any time via the "Edit Account" link. In those cases, the account remains active for the remainder of the current term and can be accessed as normal until expiration. No credit or refund can be given for cancellations.
So you are clogging the tech support with a non issue simply to try to annoy them with I hate you for canceling Mike emails.
If you were unaware of this provision because you didn't read the terms when you signed up... Well I guess you can close your ticket now as you are now aware.
No refund is ever coming.

Firing Mike was a bad decision on the part of Air America Radio.

You do know that it is not "ours" don't you? I mean, I know they ask for donations as if they were a charity, but they're not one and they will continue to make terrible decisions as long as they are managed by incompetent boobs.
There is no such thing as a "left-wing corporation".

By all means, folks, stay content with the status quo. And when AAR gives the axe to DU darling, Rachel Maddow, we can all point and laugh at the people telling us to get over the firing of Malloy.

20. Rachel's already on her way out. |
|
6-8 PM is the death slot for radio, especially talk radio. Around the country, in every format on every station, ratings plummet after 6 PM.
By taking her out of prime time into evening fringe, they're going to kill her numbers.

|
And it's not that bad. That's basically 3-5 on the other coast.
5-7 mornings is more of a death slot. That's 2-4AM out west.
And there's a ton of competition in AM drive everywhere.
