WHAT is going on on AAR right now?? LAME!! |
|
I just tuned in a few minutes ago and whoever is filling in for Al Franken is obviously UNPREPARED and just filling in with LAME staged "phone calls" that have no point whatsoever except to allow the "host" to drop names of "famous people" who are "accidentally" calling in. WHAT A DUD! what happened to political commentary? sheesh, Al isn't my favorite, but at least his show has a little substance!

4. um, that link says Wikipedia does not have an article on O'Donnell |
|
"give him a chance"? If it were my first day, I would have prepped for weeks, to try to make a good impression. The guy so far has NOTHING TO SAY.

I bet Al's just cringing if he's listening.

9. He was not only involved with the West Wing |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 11:39 AM by never_get_over_it
he is also a "political pundit" on our and I think appears often on these talking head cable shows - I think he is also a frequet guest of Al's although I don't like Al's show and really haven't followed it in MONTHS - but I have to tell you I did listen Tuesday and Wednesday when I got wind that Christy Harvey and Tom Oliphant were hosting and I think they did a GREAT JOB....
Thanks for the post I was going to tune in and see how Lawrence was doing now I won't bother
On edit - btw West Wing wasn't on HBO it was a regular NBC show for seven years....

|
oh well, whatever. I guess I'm just out of it, since I've never watched West Wing and don't know who O'Donnell even is. That bit with the phone calls was a gigantic turn-off. I was so NOT impressed by his big-name "friends" (whom I didn't know either).

21. Lawrence O'Donnel seems DLC to me. |
|
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 11:55 AM by Marr
I'm a big fan Al Franken's show, but two of his guests always annoy me. Lawrence O'Donnel, and that guy who's mother was a famous journalist and he's now some kind of political reporter. I can't recall his name right now.

a conflict of interest to let her host. (But I agree-- Nancy's wonderful. I miss her old partner Ski Anderson, too.)
