1. Crazy is Not funny.
I'm trying not to over-state the case, but it's unavoidable, especially when I look at Global Warming - Melting the North Pole and then leave my house and see MOSTLY SUVs and quite a few Hummers. Some of them think they are pretty funny, but they are not.

2. I know what you mean.
Who in Hell needs an SUV in Manhattan? I see them all the time. Alternative energy could help stifle the war for oil and profit and the powers-that-be aren't about to give up such tidy profits. We are having the most mild winter in all of my recollection, at least where I live, and it's not even mentioned in the press.

4. Alternative Energy + Conservation
There's this kind of highschool mentality around SUVs/Hummers that amounts to how funny some people think it is to say, in effect, "Fuck You" to anyone who is different from them.

3. Tell me about it. I live just south of Chicago..BLIZZARD COUNTRY
and this winter we have been at 40+-50+ degrees for WEEKS, maybe a month? This is JANUARY! We had very heavy snow back in November and very little since then. At X-Mas time I was wearing a light jacket???! This is ILLINOIS. These ARE NOT the winters of my childhood. We use to freeze our asses off. Not anymore. If people can't see the change, something's wrong!

Last winter was the same. Very mild, little snow. We were sitting at a bar and the bartender made small-talk with the mild weather we were having and I said, "I know. Global Warming." His reply? "You believe in that stuff?" !@#$%$#@! "UH, YEAH!, I do!" UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE! He was LIVING IT and STILL didn't believe our weather change had anything to do with Global Warming! *sigh*

5. I live in Kansas, which is borderline Drought-y.
I go around town with my small - W (underscored with the word) Wrong - pin on and make small talk whenever possible about the droughts in Oklahoma and Texas. I'm very sweet when I include the facts.

6. Global Warming is practically NEVER uttered in the news.
Unless it's some "liberal Hollywood movie" they are talking about. It is such a real threat and yet nobody cares.
