This is great for printing and handing out at meetups, etc.

On edit: To give credit where credit is due, I got this from "Joey" here: http://www.haloscan.com/comments.php?user=crooks&comment=6631#431715

2. thanks
People seem to think that the tribes were dirty because they were associated with Jacko....
Aren't the Repubs acting like they are in the "battered wife syndrome?" Denial....."but he said he was sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

3. Let's try to get this on the greatest page.
Maybe even on the front page. This makes it all very clear and simple.

11. I think it's because
I think it's because it's likely that some Republicans may also have gotten non-Abramoff money directly from the tribes (as the chart indicates). We need to be honest about this (unlike many Republicans), and there may be some Republicans who are also being unfairly tarred with the same brush.

12. Post here if you're using this chart.
Let us know where you've posted it or handed it out. Let it know if it's gotten through to someone. I handed it out at a Democratic meetup today. In this case I think I was preaching to the choir but I'm hoping that they'll use it to educate others.

13. I liked this explanation as well
This was one of the emails posted to the WaPo ombudsman:

Donor A was a donor to Democrat B;

Donor A is extorted/conned into hiring Republican C;

Donor A reduces its share of donations to Democrat B;

Republican C is shown to be engaged in a gigantic criminal enterprise;

your conclusion: Democrat B and Republican C are in a criminal enterprise together.

The mendacity blows the mind. And I hope you do know you're being dishonest -- if this comes out of stupidity I'm even more frightened about how low our media has reached.

The only real story in town regarding corruption is the K-Street Project -- which over more than ten years sought to not only illegally funnel money to the Bush Republicans, but also to illegally abuse Congressional power in order to punish campaign donors to the Democratic Party. Abramoff, Delay, Santorum, Frist, Rove, Reed, Norquist and the other players in the K-Street project engaged in corruption and extortion in a completely unprecedented scaled in the pursuit of their goal to establish a de facto one-party rule. Contrived 'balance' in reporting on this is an unprofessional and cowardly lie. Why are the media afraid to factually and fairly report this story?

14. Yes, I like that explanation.
But a good visual can get the point across quickly and clearly even to people who don't want to bother thinking about it (which is a lot of people). Maybe that text added below the chart would be good for further detail for those who want it.

15. Rec this up folks
I know for most here it may seem merely a comical illustration of the obvious.

But among the DC/Euphemedia Analstocracy spoon-feeding is the only effective method for achieving factual nutrition.

I like that. I wonder if some group like Move On would sponsor it. Or maybe DU could take up a collection to run this, or something close to it, in someplace like the New York Times. I wonder what a full-page ad costs? The original creator of this chart should be involved, and his permission gotten, if something like that were to happen.

On Edit:The above link, and the one in my original post, no longer work. Apparently the website removed the post for some reason. Here's a post by the original poster talking about it. http://www.haloscan.com/comments.php?user=crooks&comment=6720#445111
I'm going to see if I can get in touch with him somehow. Luckily I copied the chart rather than just linking to it.
