Have you noticed how many people think this is actually a video and not a audio tape?

I don't know if this is relevant, but perhaps the media isn't presenting this as it actually is.

I have read at least 4 or five posts even here, that refer to the "new video"

just thought it was odd.

1. I thought it was at first.

Because the news sites (I don't have cable, or TV for that matter) just called it a "tape" and showed what looked like new pictures to me -- they weren't the old familiar pics. In fact, I thought, Huh, even though I was 99% certain the guy was dead, that really looks like him, so maybe I was wrong!

Of course, I soon realized it was just an audio, commenced to laugh my ass off.

3. the cable nets all played selected audio and showed an old OBL tape

while they were doing it.

Because the audio was all in Arabic, few noticed that the tape and audio didn't match. The networks made no effort that I saw to explain the juxtaposition

4. I thought the same thing when they said they had a tape and started

with video, rehashing a lot I'd seen ebfore, but talking about the tape.

THey're just a fearmongering tool of this administration who is trying to distract us.

Next comes another 'terror attack' likely one on a gran enough scale to scare the crap out of most people in the country so they don't stop and think about how they aren't being protected by giving up more rights as they give Bush his kingly crown and surrender the last of their true autonomy as we go into ww3.

My own search revealed "video" referred to old videos of OBL.

A news search for "tape" reveals audio when referencing the latest supposed threat from Uncle Osama.

News on TV said "tape", but as usual, I didn't watch, as I don't think it make one iota....

9. The timing is impeccable...

Bush in trouble with wiretapping? Boom, OBL tape arrives in the mail. His Base says, "see? The wiretapping is necessary!" I actually had someone tell me that an illegal search would take a pedophile off the streets and therefore she was all for it. An 'illegal search' would put the pedophile back on the streets, for goodness sakes!

I was under the impression that it was a video too - thanks for clearing that up.

10. Another strange coincidence....

is that the Talking Points were ready to go. Immediately, the tape was being reported as "liberal-like" as if OBL was a Democrat. Chris Matthews is not the only place I've heard such a stupid claim.

11. I too was under the impression it was a video at first

I believe now that that was by design. I saw the cable news broadcasts running the audio of the speech (for an inordinately long time by the way) while at teh same time showing a video I had never seen before. Everyone has seen the "Osama walks down a hill" and the "Osama shoots a gun" and the always appropriate "Osama wears a dew rag and holds a walkie talkie". This latest one, if I remember correctly, is a "Osama looking made up face shot".

Another bit of BushCo psyop magic!!! It's not by accident you can be sure.
