Please help me respond to this idiot.
I'm too mad to think clearly. This was posted on a fan board for a musician, and this is his reply to me.

The fact is...

... that we gave that idiot a chance OVER AND OVER AGAIN to play by the rules. He didn't!!
He butchered/raped/tortured his own people!! (With WMD's by the way!!)
He attempted to assasinate one of our past presidents!
He literally had YEARS to move any weapons systems out of his country to GOD knows where. The weapons that EVEN PRES. CLINTON said he had!!!
Please - get your heads out of the sand and try to understand that we live in a VERY dangerous world full of morons hell bent for our destruction!!
I'm a very nice guy - but if you mess with me, or if I see you commiting a crime - I WILL FIGHT BACK!!!
THIS - thank God - is the same policy for the US! That is what our beloved Armed Forces are for!!!
There - I'm glad THAT'S out of my system. Sheesh!!
See what you started Hadley? :)

19. Here's a nice fact for you
When Reagan was president the Senate overwhemingly in a bipartisan way told Reagan in a bill they don't want to do dealings with Hussein anymore because of who he was and all that. When the bill came to Reagan he vetoed it. Reagan also gave Saddam his wmd's.

2. for your own sanity, you don't have to reply. but if you feel you must:
please specify WHICH rules he wasn't playing by, thank you.

he did this with the full knowledge and tacit approval of both bush 1 and ray-gun, with materials the US gave him (see picture of rummy shaking hands in 88)

please show the "attempt to assassinate", from a LEGITIMATE, VERIFIABLE source.

please show where President (legally elected) Clinton said this. and please explain HOW he could have moved these wmd's, when the entire country has been under surveillance since the end of the first gulf war. the man couldn't have ordered a pizza without our knowing about it.

PLEASE get your head out of the sand, and understand that this administration is only concerned about its own power and hegemony, and wouldn't give a DAMN about iraq if it weren't sitting on the second largest deposit of oil in the world.

and please understand that, nice guy or not, you are a completely misinformed idiot, and will be corrected at every opportunity. THAT is what free speech and our constitution (or what used to be at any rate) were for. as you have clearly demonstrated that you are one of the sheeples, I pity you.

3. Just tell him "No WMDs, no evidence - and NO CASE"
Ask him if he'd like to be convicted in a court of law for a murder for which there is no evidence that the alleged murder weapon even existed in the first place.

And he is in prison now and will probably be executed for his offense.

Now, what has that got to do with today and the jeopardy our Democracy faces as a result of George W. Bush?

5. If this person believes so strongly in the "mission"
tell him to sign his sorry ass up and serve in Iraq himself.....and although I don't believe that this idiot has the smarts to understand - point him to PNAC and see what he thinks then - of course his mentality would be to completely support the US stealing resources from other countries

7. One thing that people don't understand about WMD:
Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 01:08 PM by BuyingThyme
The reason we know there are no WMD is not because we searched the country for them. The reason we know there are no WMD is because we've interviewed everybody who was ever involved, and we have examined all of the documentation, etc., and it's conclusive. There has been nothing going on since the early nineties (at the latest).

It's not about physically searching for things. It's about confirming the truthfulness of the witnesses and the documents.

So, when simple people talk about moving the stuff, just explain that they are operating at the intellectual capacity of small children.

Saddam is dead thats just great we have lost thousands of military lives for what no WMD.This is beyond discussing we still have Bin Laden alive yes we are killing off his friends but, why did we waste our money and resources getting Saddam? Can you answer that question? Why didn't we go into Afghanistan with a larger force and go after Bin Laden? Why did we not finish the job in Afghanista? Iraq didn't have al-Qaeda Afghanistan did. Now in Iraq we not fighting terrorist we are fighting a civil war and our guys our in the middle.

9. That's so 'before the war' ~ we've all been through that old routine!
.. we gave that idiot a chance OVER AND OVER AGAIN to play by the rules.

'We' (I love the way they use the royal 'we' as if they do anything more than furiously type wrong info onto their computer screens and then sit back and think about how incredibly tough they are) gave that idiot way more than just 'a chance'!

I would exclude liberals from the 'we' when you inform him of all the chemicals and other weapons 'we' gave him, and if you can find it, the 'idiot's' Kodak moment with Rummy, bringing him gifts from Ronnie, is a classic.

The truth is, it was 'LIBERALS' around the globe who were furiously objecting to all the gifts the Republican pres and his VP, (Bush Sr.) not to mention the rest of the cabal who forgot to tell your friend, of their former, close and intimate relationship with the 'idiot' when they got him all riled up like that!

In 1988, eg, after the gassing of the Kurds (I bet he's in a tizzy over that crime) the US Senate UNANAMOUSLY voted to stop sending chemicals and other weapons to old Saddam. But he threw a fit, and Ronnie VETOED the bill, just to calm him DOWN!! Saddam was duly grateful that he had friends in such high places!

Expect him to come back with 'you idiot!! Don't you know ANYTHING about that period. This was DURING THE COLD WAR, and 'in time of war', (they LOVE that phrase, it gets them all tingly for some reason) 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend', (they love that one also) MORAN!'

You can then ask him why, if that was the case, we NOW supporting an even worse 'idiot' in Uzbekistan who makes Saddam look like a pussycat. Inform him that 'the THE COLD WAR IS OVER, morON'! Or how about that other 'idiot', in Azerbaijan, and a few more Saddam wannabees around the globe??

Tell him to get off it, to wake up and ask himself when this country is going to STOP supporting the Saddams of the world? Then, ten years later, going 'oops, now we have to go take that idiot out, because NO ONE, just NO ONE, messes with us'. Apparently they do, otherwise why the need to 'take them out'?

No wonder we are in the state we are in. They just spout their garbage and actually think they KNOW what they're talking about.

If he can't take the truth he should stay off the computer, his head is likely to explode. Actually, it might be cruel to tell him the truth, on second thought.

It's a losing battle, but sometimes if you'r in the mood, it's fun to get them all riled up.

10. Clinton did not start a war
Yes, Clinton thought he had WMD, but he didn't start a war.

They had to wait a few days to start a war because they had to give the weapons inspectors a chance to leave the country. Weapons inspectors were still given access to suspected weapons sights.

We took a nation with a very fragile infrastructure (weakened by UN sanctions for 10 years) and destroyed it. We destroyed their country. They people of Iraq have nothing left to loose. They fight back because they have nothing left to loose. Your worst enemy is always one who has nothing left to loose. They take any and all chances.

Your buddy should be the first one to volunteer for wire tapping of phones, wire tapping of all of his internet activities, monitoring of all his credit card purchases. He should be the one to prove that "Big Brother" is a really good guy.

If your buddy is so anxious to send other people in the armed forces into harms way, he should be the first one to send his own kids or even push for the Bush twins to make a contribution to society. Hey, why not start up the Draft. Everyone should have the opportunity to defend the RED, WHITe, and BLUE. Hey aren't we fighting them there so we don't have to fight them here? It is time to whip this thing so we can get on with our lives.

Ask him if he heard one of OBL quotes from a few years back. OBL said his goal was to bankrupt the US. He wait, isn't that happening already with our federal deficit. The longer we stay in Iraq, the more our debt goes up. The longer Bush and his people stay in power, they worse our economy gets. On paper it looks good. In real life, I am worse off now than I was 5 years ago.

Republicans are in denial.......

12. First of all, he spelled morans wrong.
Then ask him where Saddam got the WMD? Then ask him how he feels about the fact that his pResident lied to him about the war. If someone had lied to me about something this huge, I sure as hell wouldn't trust him.

And, then ask him why is so willing to wipe his ass with the Constitution to prevent the infinitesimally small chance he will be hurt by a terrorist?

Then ask him which evil do we go after next?

Then ask him why we didn't attack Saudi Arabia when 15 of the 19 hijackers were from there and not Iraq, nor Afghanistan.

I could go on for hours. You get the idea.

Then tell him to check out the PNAC site. That will show him where his 'leader' really wants to go with this war on terror.

13. I heard that Iran is sending a team of weapons inspectors to the USA
think they'll find anything?

As far as your response to this guy over Iraq's WMD's, use the common sense approach!

Before the invasion of Iraq, I knew there weren’t any WMD's. Reason being we would not have invaded them in the first place if they had WMD's. We would have not put our soldiers in that kind of danger. Look at all the countries we avoid because they do have WMD's.

After the first few days of the war, it should have been clear to the brainwashed cons that there weren’t any weapons of mass destruction. What is the reason for having WMD’s in the first place, if you’re not going to use them against an invading army? That should have been a wake up call to the willfully ignorant, but no instead they chose to believe even a more ridiculous argument that Saddam moved them. Why would, he had moved them? Was he saving them for a rainy day? Get a clue cons, and use some common sense. How stupid do you have to be to continue to believe this filthy administrations’ crap?

Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 03:23 PM by OneBlueSky
who made the US god? . . . what gives us the right to remove any leader, dictator or otherwise, that we don't happen to like? . . .

and you might remind him that removing Saddam was about the 14th reason given by BushCo for invading Iraq -- after all the other reasons had been shown to be complete bullshit . . . this one was, too . . .

on edit: there was, I believe, a time when BushCo was specifically rejecting "regime change" as a goal . . . they only fell back on it when all of their other lies caught up with them . . .

20. Simple
ah, you are one of those "internationalists" who is more concerned with dictators (and there are many others currently in this world) and taking care of them than about dealing with responsible for the terrorist attacks on NYC and DC. Given that the draw down of military and intelligence resources that began in January of 2002 (that's right - just after the taliban fell, resources were pulled to begin staging for the Iraqi war rather than staying focused on getting Osama Bin Laden, and fully breaking apart the al qeada network) severly hampered efforts in Afghanistan.

that is how I would respond - folks like this don't like to be reminded that the "cost" of the Iraq war was weakening the efforts "to smoke Osama out of his cave". Pit his anger against... his anger... and use a few buttons (like "internationalist") while you are at it

OK - you win - I'm totally converted to your way of looking at life.
Wow... I... I... never thought about it that way.
It's... almost like I'm... in... a... trance.
What was I thinking?! What a numb feeling!!!
I'M KIDDING OF COURSE!!!
The fact of the matter is that we disagree - that's all.
Whatever you read, you're for - and whatever opinions I read fall into MY way of looking at things.
THE CORRECT WAY!!!!!!
Once again - only kidding.
Let's just agree to disagree - ok?
I had no idea I could take the time to get sucked into a political discussion on the IAIS BOARD!!!!
All I wanted to do is let the folks here know about the new songs on my website...

OK - that was a shameless plug! :)
