Anyone taken a "purity" test? |
|
Would your actual answers embarass you and perhaps you do not wish it to become public?
This is the kind of shit that will be used against people, don't think it wont. What you thought was private and was intended to be private is now under attack.
What happens when someone with authority wants something from you? Perhaps a vote?
Yea yea no names - just ip's. Just ip's connected to accounts connected to names.
Tinfoil hat? Wake up.

our lame congress people who are sitting back and not doing a thing to protect our very form of government. what else could have them so frightened they won't step forward but a threat to tell their families and constituents some very embarrassing stuff that would ruin their lives?

Yes, I've taken a purity test (back in college for kicks). As a writer I google quite a few interesting and potentially embarrassing things when doing research for characters.
I also google alternative news and make connections that could be potentially embarrassing for a fascist government.
Whoopdeedo.
Listen, people, stop living in fear. That's what they want. They win whenever you censor yourselves.
I am fully awake and taking responsibility for what I google, and my purity test score.

My point is how far reaching this bullshit is. Lack of privacy. It's not like the test - a very good example because it made many rounds and was popular to do. No one saw your answers - but you could share your score. It was meant to be private, and a little risky fun.
Because you are fine with it - Cool. Many people have moved on and many woman may not be fine with it. Do you support releasing your medical records? Not that they are the same thing - but the medical records do contain your sexual history insofar as disease and problems.
The purity tests asked some of these same questions.
I am just trying to put a face on why this is outrageous. BTW I was honest when I did mine and would be mortified if anyone actually saw it.

My point is that we, as a populace, have to stop falling for the scare mongering.
We have to call their bluff.

Damn straight I didn't get your point.
I will fight for my rights - It has nothing to fucking do with fear.
THEY ARE ALREADY STARTING.
Let's just wait till it's too late - yea baby that's the ticket.

12. And here you say you are a thinking woman |

You accuse me of fear mongering and tell me I'm arguing circles with myself.
I know what has hit my mailbox and im in the recent years. The worst was the purity test and let me tell you - we all took it. It's more information then my medical records. Yet it was taken in fun and in privacy.
This is the stuff that is out there - some of it has links to me.
Don't EVEN bitch at me about fear, I know about it. I was raised in the nuclear drills - I watched the movies - I had the nightmares. My whole fucking childhood was filled with fear.
This is about privacy, and the governments far reaching bullshit.
This is the clearest example I know to show and illustrate how INVASIVE this shit is.
Me? They could concievably cart me away for a bit because of some research into easily accessable KP. I did it while researching the subject in regards to a trial I was watching.
I've also done religious research, I've done nazi research, I've done cult research. If I'm interested, I google.

create one - and the end page tells the people who took it that all of their info is now stored in an NSA database or something.

A survey that asked you questions and gave you an end score.
Among the questions have you had or paid for an abortion Have you had an std Have you had bisexual relations Have you had multiple partners Have you cheated on a spouse
... Much more in depth and a very long test.
Imagine this information in the rights hands.

18. Why do people do anything... It was something that just |
|
was popular a year or so ago. I know tons of people who took it, just so they would know their score.
There were no names involved and it was private. You didn't have to login or anything - just take the test.
Sooo... Not such a risk - THEN. If an entity got ahold of the entries and the ip's... You've not only got information but you have potentially damning information on people.
