Question about Air America programming and syndication |
|
Why doesn't AAR offer a heavy discount to stations who run the full package of programming? Make it almost irresistable to station managers, to run the full AAR schedule, rather than just pick a few shows.
AAR should be running programs that they truly believe in, and not just whatever is most popular. Nobody should fear that they are getting fired because advertisers don't like the message. Advertisers shouldn't even get to decide when their commercials run (or is that totally unrealistic?) I think the station should be run with more a unified public front (on the programming side.)
Naive?

1. Yes, but that would be assuming that they know what they're doing |

from all I have heard, the management tema at AAR is not the best, and not the most liberal.

Unrealistic I think. Remember AAR is still a business, and business is in business to make money. It is the management's responsibility to get the most advertising dollars, so they can pay everyone. People are going to vote by listening or not listening. Other than content, left wing radio isn't much different than any other type of radio.
