It will be repeated many times over the next few months, and I urge everyone not to miss it.

You should even find some time and congratulate MTV for including it in their broadcast.

And, for the record, it was the Al Gore some of us ALWAYS saw, past what the corpmedia presented and beyond what some of his policy positions had been while dealing with the uncomfortable reality that is actual governance.

I hope never to see the day when Democratic leaders are two-dimensional public creatures, devoid of layered thought and nuanced worldviews.

Black and white is best for MOVIES and Rickenbacker guitars.

3. Yeah, I just read he got one of the biggest laughs of the night with
this line:

"I actually was not intending to be here tonight, but then MTV explained that Justin Timberlake was bringing sexy back."

Hope it's up at Youtube soon!

5. You have to see the "come hither" look he gives when he says it.
He's having fun - but, anyone who followed him over the last few decades would recogmize that he's always had that side to him, that's really quite comic.

6. He got the biggest hand of the night as well
During his presentation, he mentioned an MTV viewer poll taken recently, where for the first time, they listed "The Environment" as the most important problem their generation faces. He did not say so, but he should be given a huge amount of credit for that. His film - - and his PR campaign about the climate crisis - - have single handedly changed the public debate about global warming.

Gore's appearance on MTV was also another example of Gore doing an end run around the MSM to get his message out.

8. "the corpmedia presented"
AlGore is not some underground leftist -- he is well a part of the corporate establishment for better or worse. It coudl be a very good thing, I guess, because he's an insider who can work with the big players on climate change.

9. Yahoo News refers to him as a wooden politician
In its coverage of the event today.

I hope he runs again in 2008, but it's obvious that the press will use the same tactics against him as they did before.

10. WE have to commit to taking up that fight against the media - read thread

on the WashPost editorial that lies against Joe Wilson.

The media is HEAVILY COMPLICIT. Clinton getting impeached, Gore, Kerry and Wilson never had a chance of getting their messages covered honestly. The media is no longer set up to do that, and it's INSTITUTIONAL at this stage.

12. I'd take "wooden" over "blockheaded" any day of the week.
Not that I think Gore is wooden, either.
