5. Gee, just in time for the elections....
...feeling just a tad bit cynical here over the 334% profit that the little piggy O(peration) I(raqi) L(iberation) companies made.

7. $2.44 in St. Louis on the way home from work just a bit ago
dropping as the Summer driving season ends. I am sure that the coming elections have absolutely nothing to do with this at all. Or maybe they do?????

"Pricing information is not available for Franchise Locations.

I can say that it is down to 2.80 down the street here and that SC is way cheaper than anywhere from what people keep telling me. I don't feel the need to use 2 gallons of gas to go down there to buy gas though, like many here do.

12. Well, with cigarette prices where they are:
I have pondered driving to kentucky. A half tank or so of gas would be cheap when I find I save about 10-15 off a carton. Supposedly illegal if I buy more than one carton or something and bring it back over state lines. I say screw em :)

17. Yes, cigs are way cheaper in NC too.
Actually, there was a story about Hezbollah stealing cigarettes here and selling them in the northeast somewhere to fund terra-ism. I wonder if it would be illegal for me to buy several cartons of your brand of cigs, we meet halfway and you bring me gas at cheaper prices. They'd probably fry us for that.

13. $2.84 at the Kick's station 2 blocks from here
in central New Mexico.

They're brand name, so generic stations will probably be $.05 cheaper.

21. $1.33 on 12/27/2003 in Orlando
I know, I picked up a new car that day and filled it up. So let's put things in perspective. It's still more than doubled since * took office.

If only the increase were a fuel tax to support alternative fuels/vehicles or mass transit :)

swing states!! I'm in Iowa, where the prices are spiraling downward, while just across the river in Illinois, they're still just below $3...
