Where is everybody??? Reid...Pelosi---What the hell are you doing? |
|
Where the hell are you? I don't hear anything. No plans, no martialing of forces, no coordinated gatherings for media, no lathering up of floundering republicans with barbecue sauce and getting them ready for the spit---nothing.
It's just the most important election of our lifetime. Nothing to get energized about. Oh, but you found time to chastise Conyers for doing his fucking job didn't ya Pelosi?
Thank God for Dean. It's all we got.

10. Which is all the more reason they should be creating |
|
newsworthy events and raising the excitement level.
Urine face is out somewhere everyday polluting the air and we don't hear anything from our so-called leaders when we are just looking for a reason to get excited.
This is taking on the same overtones as the nicey nice campaign of the president who never got to be because of this pathetically managed lead up to election.
Look who represents us on talk shows. Are they serious with these nitwits? There's nobody at the controls.
I'm telling it like it is.

3. Don't forget that in order to get media attention to discuss your plans |
|
for the country you need them to stop short stroking every Republican in sight long enough for you to get a word in.

4. Reid and Howard Dean just issued statements about something |
|
a half hour ago. I think it had to do with the Iraq war report the Pentagon just released today.

Took 'em a while, but they figured out email is an efficient tranmission method. Finally!

5. Where's the Dems' Labor Day speech |
|
about the plight of the uninsured working class - one ER trip away from pseudobankruptcy's perpetual slave labor - in this great economy?

7. FWIW, the move to a no confidence vote on Rummy |
|
is brilliant. I think Rahm Emmanuel is behind that one. Keeps the Dems aggressive on the Iraq and national security issue. They need to fight like this with no letup til election day.

11. Taking Andy Card's advice--not rolling out new product before Sep |
|
It's Labor Day WEEKEND, fachrissake. Who's paying attention to politics?
Last barbecue, last summer swim, that's the focus.
Wait until the rugrats are back in school and families are settled into their fall routine. Then hit 'em hard.
The fact that BushCo is rolling out these failed speeches shows that they are getting DESPERATE. They started early, because they really have to work hard to polish that turd. And it's falling flat, even without much pounding from our team.

These are not the right people to be depending on to blow the doors off this republican shitwagon.
There are some of the dirtiest ploys coming that we've ever seen and they just plod along like the tin man in the Wizard of Oz.

Yesterday I was at a meet and greet for a Democratic primary candidate. No cameras, great crowd.
I'll be at another one in the next few days.
All politics is LOCAL. The smart politicians are keeping the home fires burning, and this is a PRIMO weekend for doing that kind of shit. Fundraising, trotting your boy (or girl) around to the moneybags, giving the speech at the pic-a-nic, that sort of thing.
NO ONE is watching tv, unless they are catching the ball game.

waiting for Pelosi or Reid. Sadly, we have to rely not on our "leadership", but on those who actually speak & act out FORCEFULLY: Feingold, Murtha, Conyers and now Rocky Anderson.
