We are Clinton's Saxophone..... |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-01-06 09:06 PM by waiting for hope
Yesterday, there was a bit of dismay over the fact that the MSM hadn't picked up on Olbermann's commentary over Rumsfeld - then low and behold - heard it from Norah's horses mouth tonight - and I paraphrase, "it's getting a lot of attention on the internet" and led into covering KO's commentary.
We are Clinton's Saxophone....remember what Clinton's performance with his sax on Aresenio Hall (thanks for the correction!) - It made him likable and "hip" to the younger voters. The internet (blogs, message boards, online petitions, polls and on and on) is becoming the voice of the people. Lieberman fears it, fears it so much that his campaign office out right attacked Lamont's supporters for hacking his site. If the Moran had any sense and/or knowledge of the technology, he wouldn't have egg on his face right now by using those tactics. There are those who do get it - John Edwards has a spot on My Space, Conyers does a fantastic job with his site and blogs on others, Fiengold has Online Listening Sessions on his site, Wes Clark is using ITunes and I could go on - but my point here is it is up to us to support our candidates and issues through this medium because it will be the ticket in getting the word out and showing solidarity. Yes, Democrats have a mission and statement but the Republicans are too stupid and inept to look to the internet for the message. The people are speaking, and once again, the Republicans are too stupid and inept to look to the internet to hear what we are saying. Let's take these last 67 days and SCREAM our message - WE WANT CHANGE AND WE WANT IT BLUE.

1. I was worried that this thread would contain a reference to... |

2. Sorry if the metaphor was |
|
a bit suggestive - it was the best comparison I could come up with.

I wish though, that we didn't have to be cool to win elections.
One of the problems leading to the decline of the United States is that its population is not rational. Of course, were we rational we would never have a beast like the creature occupying our White House in power.

4. Clinton was even cooler than the Tonight Show - he played on |
|
Aresenio Hall! That was the younger generations's Tonight Show.

6. If we are Clinton's saxophone, let me start a suggested set list. |
|
It will be dedicated entirely to the Republican-dominated Congress.
"Hit the Road Jack" (Joe, actually) "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" "Don't Come Around Here No More" "Who Let the Dogs Out"
and I'm sure we can come up with many more.

|
Got this from a freeper!!! Believe it or don't. It' an abbreviated version.
Bush is in the Clinton White House and asks to use the bathroom. He spots a gold plated urinal. Later that night Hillary to her husband - "Well Bill, I found out who pissed in your saxophone"
