'Revenge' pushes hunt for bin Laden in Afghanistan (AP)
And IMO these soldiers are on a mission that I can fully support. Even if our sorry excuse for a President doesn't think about Osama all that much.

NARAY, Afghanistan (AP) -- Hundreds of American soldiers at this remote outpost are keeping up the hunt for Osama bin Laden even though the trail's gone cold, still motivated by memories of the hijacked and crashed airliners of five years ago on September 11.

"Revenge was a big part of it," said 24-year-old Lt. Mike Vieira of the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division. The unit's 600 soldiers arrived here in February at what was then the army's northernmost outpost along Afghanistan's border with Pakistan.

But how long have these Americans been searching for Osama??

U.S. Army Special Forces first established a small, heavily fortified compound in Naray -- a village of a few mud-brick homes -- following the September 11 attacks. It was only in February that the military started expanding the base, to accommodate hundreds of soldiers and major local reconstruction projects.

1. Might as well be looking in Kansas
He is safe and sound in Pakistan, where we will never go due to our fear of what Pakistan would do, and what a can of worms it would open up.

Sad these kids are wandering around hell on earth looking for Hoffa. They have as much chance of finding him as I do.

Must suck to lay awake at night in some godforsaken country wasting your effort because your leaders are pieces of shit.

I hope the dem nominee, whoever he is, has a practical plan on how we can reach bin laden et al in Pakistan without causing even more regional strife. This is truly a chess match to do.

2. If they do bring him in, it won't be alive.
Just a hunch.

3. I support that effort too.

OBL needs to face justice one way or the other.
