OK, not really a poll so much, as a people's vote on the ideas over at sinceslicedbread.com. (Please read instructions carefully it's a bit cretinous.)
http://abrij.org/ssb/If you totally missed this whole thing, a good summary is here:
It was supposed to be one of the Service Employees International Union's leaps into bottom-up online consensus building, but the community blowback at the Since Sliced Bread project that broke out this week has all the appearances of being an online revolt.
http://www.alternet.org/story/30760/...so after the meltdown I hastily threw together some code to help the people decide, and it's at the above URL. We're about 1/6th of the way through round one of voting, which is only really to eliminate the cruft from the mix but will produce some interesting preliminary results nonetheless. Unfortunately even some of the stalwarts are starting to lose interest so we decided to reach out for
more voters.
You'll get to see the stupidist of the stupid along with, perhaps, a few of the gems. I know the program and voting method isn't perfect -- when we go to round 2 I'll make some improvements, like cutting the number of ideas per ballot to 5 and some code fixes.
Anyway, those of us that have been haunting the SSB blog are a mix, so folks from right leaning sites are being invited as well -- make sure DUers get their say too!
