Evolution debate hits Kenya exhibit
The global debate between scientists and conservative Christians over evolution has hit Kenya, where an exhibitition of one of the world's finest collections of early hominid fossils is under threat.

As the National Museum of Kenya (NMK) prepares to re-open next year, after massive EU-funded renovations, evangelicals are demanding that the display should be removed or at least moved to a less prominent location.

The Origins of Man exhibitition, comprising pre-historic finds from around Africa's Great Rift Valley, considered by many to be the cradle of humanity, is offensive as it promotes Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, they say.

This serves as a reminder that the RW is on a global campaign. This type stuff is not limited to our own home grown fundie nut cases. This is a worldwide thing. Last week there was an article about how Benedict XVI was going to change how the Vatican views evolution. This is American's RW hard at work.

2. Maledict has always been..
.. untrustworthy as to open-minded and rational views.

He's a hard rightwinger from way back, and he was
John Paul II's henchman and enforcer against those
damm liberal activist priests who believe in the rights
of women and other targeted groups.

It's as if there's a toxic spore infecting the minds of
leaders in the world against science and humanistic
views.

4. This isn't a Catholic bishop
It's a guy who is bishop of his own separate church - "pastor of Nairobi's "Christ is the Answer Ministries" and chairman of the Evangelical Alliance of Kenya, which says it represents churches of 35 denominations with nine million members."
